Oicas TV setup
==============

Makes the Oicas Signage Player the home screen of an Android TV, so the TV opens the player by
itself every time it is switched on. Use it for Google TV devices (Chromecast with Google TV,
Sony, TCL or Philips Google TV sets), which don't let you choose the home screen. On other Android
TVs, use the "Make this the TV's home screen" button on the player's pairing screen instead.

On the TV (once)
  1. Settings > System > About > press "Build" seven times. "You are now a developer" appears.
  2. Settings > System > Developer options > turn on "Network debugging"
     (newer TVs: "Wireless debugging"). Note the IP address it shows.

On a Windows PC on the same network
  1. Double-click oicas-tv-setup.cmd.
  2. Type the TV's IP address.
     With "Wireless debugging", answer "y" and type the pairing address and code the TV shows
     under "Pair device with pairing code".
  3. On the TV, choose "Allow" when it asks to allow debugging.

The tool installs or updates the player if needed, makes it the home screen, lets it start after a
power cut, and opens it. Afterwards you may turn debugging off on the TV.

To leave the player on the TV: hold Back on the remote for 5 seconds, or press it 5 times quickly.

The first run downloads Google's adb tool (about 7 MB) into %LOCALAPPDATA%\Oicas.
